2023: Kachi Obi appeals to Ndi Igbo to support Igbo presidency.
A German based Akalite and political observer, Mazi Kachi Obi, the Ozo Ndi Igbo na Deutschland has appealed to Ndi Igbo across the globe to pull resources and forces together to provide and support a presidential candidate of Igbo extraction come 2023. Mazi Obi specifically appealed to Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, World Igbo Congress and other groups and politicians in the South East, South South and more to rally behind any Igbo politician in order to secure 2023 for the general advantage of all.
This appeal was made last week when the German based Akalite called on Umuaka Times correspondent in Germany to inquire about the preparations of the Igbo towards the 2023 presidential election.
In his own words, Mazi Obi told Umuaka Times; “Look at the person the Fulani gave us in the person of Buhari. See also when the Yoruba gave us Obasanjo and now they are planning to give us either Abubakar Atiku or Bola Tinubu. These people are not better than our Igbo politicians. If we continue to look for the best among ourselves, we will continue to wait in vain.”
While trying to drive home his point further, he appealed to all the political parties in Igboland to jettison their political differences and provide and support an Igbo politician to become the next chief occupant of Aso Rock. “Be it Rochas, Orji Uzor Kalu, Dave Umahi, Peter Obi or Kingsley Moghalu, please support any of them to become the next president. We should not be looking for angels among ourselves while our next door brothers never gave such considerations during their time.”
Mazi Obi finally advised those who have not updated their voter’s card to do so before it will be late.”All we want is for an Igboman to become the next president of Nigeria. We don’t want to know his character.”
