G-99 Old Boys Association Endorses Hon. Dire.

The political ambition of Hon McDonald Nnamdi Dire to represent his local council Njaba, at the Imo State House of Assembly come 2023, last week secured another big time endorsement from some certain quarters in the state. The Umuaka born politician who is vying under Labour Party for the exulted position was officially informed last week by his 1999 set of Old Boys Association, High School Umuaka that the group, G-99 has unanimously endorsed him as her preferred consensus candidate for the office.
The political correspondent of Umuaka Times confirmed that the endorsement was contained in a press statement issued by the group after its monthly meeting which was held on December 10, 2022 in a virtual interaction. The meeting where the collective agreement to endorse Hon Dire was reached, was presided over by the president of the G-99 Old Boys Association.
Umuaka Times gathered that the spokesman for the G-99 group, Ambassador Okey Nwoke did not only express optimism that Hon Dire would win the election but he also went ahead and declared that Dire was the most qualified candidate in Njaba LGA for now. He appealed to his fellow classmates to try their best to ensure that one of them, in the person of Hon Dire succeeds in his political and patriotic quest to liberate Njaba.
From his endorsement statement, the political spokesman of G99 Amb. Okey Nwoke described Chief Dire as the most qualified candidate for the office. Speaking further on the endorsement, Nwoke, who is both an engineer and a UN-SDG Ambassador, spoke to Umuaka Times; “The position of Imo State House of Assembly membership needs an outstanding and outspoken person who will at any time compete with his counterparts from other LGA to attract development and dividends of democracy to our LGA”.
Also speaking after the endorsement, the formar president of the group, Engr Adazie Chigozie re-echoed what the spokesman said: “We need someone that is sound intellectually, socially and morally to deliver. As a graduate in the field of engineering and a successful American based business man, Chief Dire has the capacity and ability to face the challenges”.
Meanwhile from indications gathered so far, the G-99 group did not only endorse one of her members but determined to work tirelessly with him to achieve success come 2023.
