End of A Glorious Era as Eze Iheukwumere Samuel Anyanwoke’s burial date is fixed.

The burial date has been announced of high profile royal father of Umuojibe, Nsukwe Ubakala in Umuahia South LGA of Abia State, HRH Eze Iheukwumere Samuel Anyanwoke (the Isiala 1 of Nsukwe Ubakala).

From the press statement Umuaka Times correspondents in America obtained from Dr Mrs Gertie (Princess) Chimeka Anyanwoke, who is also a Triple High Chief and a daughter in-law of the late monarch, the rites of passage for the late sage who was known as an icon of peace and truth, a man of the people, the patriarch of all, will begin on Wednesday April 17, 2024 by 12 midday.

The events lined up to kick start this segment include cultural celebration, cultural dance groups and presentations, all of which will be held in the royal compound of the late monarch in Umuabulonu Umuojibe.

On Thursday 18 April 2024, also by 12 mid-day, the remains of the late monarch leave the mortuary of FMC Umuahia in a royal motorcade. A brief stopover has been scheduled to hold at Umuahia South LGA headquarters in honour of the deceased as a royal father who played a major role in the development of the local council.

By 12:30 pm, the royal body arrives at his maternal home for another homage and respect before finally going home where his remains will lie in state in his palace for an all-night Christian wake keep and service of songs.

On Friday April 19, 2024 and precisely by 9 am, the royal father’s final journey home takes a new dimension as a requiem Mass service will be held for the repose of his soul at Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church Nsukwe Amibo.

Internment follows immediately after the requiem Mass in the royal compound of the late monarch.

Reception of guests, family and friends holds at Nsukwe Civic Centre.

Left behind to mourn the high profile royal father who lived for 101 years are his wife, Ugoeze Blessing Anyanwoke, 5 Children, 18 grandchildren, 1 son-in-law, 5 daughters-in-laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members, relations and friends.
