Umuaka Ward 1: Innocent Duru calls for consensus candidacy….condemns money in politics.

The CEO of Winners Siuco Global Aluminum Limited Hon Innocent Duru has called on all the aspirants vying for the candidacy of Umuaka Ward 1 councillorship to hold talks among themselves and bring out one aspirant as a consensus man or woman for the job. On why Hon Duru made the call, he cited the reason that their failure to do that will lead to “money in politics” among the aspirants. “With money in politics, you may see tomorrow when an elected politician will come and tell his people that he spent a lot of money to secure the position and he has to recover his money first before representing the community properly.”
On all the aspirants and their ambition, he advised that their supporters should not inculcate the idea of hate speech or violence and character assassination among themselves or among the aspirants. “We are all related in one way or the other. There are 3 stages of this election; before, during and after. Let us make sure that we will continue living in peace during and after the election, as we are living now before the election.”
On his final note, he wished all the aspirants well in their endeavour and appealed to each of them to always remember the plight of the masses in case of any one that will emerge the winner.
