Controversial motivational speaker and Onitsha based businessman and traditional religionist, Mazi Mathias Ejiofor Ezeaku has disclosed what he perceives as a problem with the Uyo based controversial pastor, Dr Abel Damina. Speaking with Umuaka Times reporters who paid him an official visit at his Mgbuka Mkpor corporate headquarters of his business, Mazi Ezeaku told Umuaka Times that he is happy with the revolutionary change Abel Damina has brought in churches across Nigeria and Africa today especially on pastors who extort church members with the Bible.

While holding an exclusive interview Umuaka Times, Ezeaku disclosed thus: “You see, I like what Dr Damina is doing. He has been deceiving people and extorting from them over the years and now he has repented from the act and wants to stop others from doing so. I support him fully but I have a problem with him.”

Challenged to disclose the problem he has with Damina, the founder of Igbo Loves Themselves NGO told Umuaka Times that, “My problem with him is that he still tells people that Jesus will solve all their problems and perform miracles. He needs to come out from that as well.”

Mazi Matthias Ejiofor Ezeaku has been preaching for a strong behavioural change among Ndi Igbo towards one another and Igbo society at large.

Chief among his gospel is the unshakable hold and faith Ndi Igbo have towards Jesus Christ that he will solve all their problems. According to him, Jesus does not solve any problem. “It is man that will solve his problem not Jesus. Travel to Europe, China and the Americas, their governments created several platforms used to solve their problems. Some of them do not believe in Jesus Christ but the problems we have here in Nigeria, they do not have them in their countries.”

In a fit of anger, Ejiofor Ezeaku asked a highly sensitive question to no one in particular; “How can you use science and technology to solve your problems and push the Bible down to me to use it and solve mine? The company that prints Bible in China employed thousands of workers and none of them is a Christian.”

A couple of months ago, Igbo Loves Themselves Foundation opened a hospital in Ogidi town where the poor are given free medical care. Umuaka Times also visited the hospital and had an interaction with some of the patients on admission.
