The royal father made the call on Saturday, 15 February 2025 when two young and prominent Akalites in the persons of Chief Declan Ibezimako Dire and Hon Chimezie Ehirim paid him a courtesy visit in his palace known as Chukwujiekwu Palace of Obinwanne.
During the visit, the two young philanthropists who hail from Isiozi Akah and Achara Umuaka respectively expressed their appreciations towards the positive style of governance of the royal father in his community and donated N1million each to the Obinwanne community. While responding to the presentations made by the two gentlemen, Ezenwanne thanked them for their visit and appealed to them to join hands together to create a better Umuaka. Hear him: “I want us to work together and use a common solution. Let each community in Umuaka contribute N100 million which will total one billion Naira. We will then hand over the money to financial management experts like a bank to manage for us. It is the proceeds of the money that we will use to be solving our common problems.”
On how to raise the fund, the monarch disclosed that every town in Umuaka is equal to the task “and we Obinwanne people are ready to contribute ours as soon as possible.”
The activities of Umuaka Charity Foundation were another phase His Royal Majesty talked about. He congratulated the members of the organization and encouraged them to continue the good works they are doing and called on other individual Akalites to contribute to the cause.
