2 min read

Students of Diamond Princess Academy DPA, have continued to demonstrate confidence, creativity and practical knowledge through the school’s commitment to quality education and extracurricular activities, following an outstanding educational outing to Ozioma FM 106.1 and the successful production of a four-gang electrical extension by its students. The educational visit to Ozioma FM 106.1 provided students with an interactive platform to express themselves, build confidence and discuss issues affecting their everyday lives. During the radio programme, the students engaged in an insightful discussion on the topic “Academic Struggle,” where they made brilliant contributions and demonstrated impressive communication skills, boldness and freedom of expression.

The school described the outing as highly educative and successful, noting that the original recording of the programme is available for parents, guardians and other interested persons who wish to listen. In another demonstration of the school’s commitment to practical education, DPA students successfully produced, tested and secured certification for a four-gang electrical extension. The project was fully executed by the students under the tutelage and supervision of Mr. Anyanwu Bright Ikechukwu, who also serves in the school’s Press Club Department.

According to the school, the achievement reflects its determination to make extracurricular activities educational, practical and skill-oriented, rather than merely recreational. The school emphasised that its vision is to graduate students who possess practical skills, creativity and the confidence to create, innovate and recreate. The development has also generated positive reactions, with a newly enrolled student expressing appreciation for the school’s efforts and encouraging friends to enrol at DPA.

The school expressed gratitude to God for the successful completion of both activities and appreciated parents and guardians for their continued support. The twin achievements highlight the importance of combining classroom learning with real-world exposure, communication skills and hands-on technical training in preparing students for a productive future.

Umuaka Times celebrates this commendable initiative and encourages schools to embrace practical learning opportunities that empower young people with knowledge, confidence and valuable life skills
