Moose speaks on retirement; explains why he is not on WWE.

Uba Umuaka born global superstar and pro-wrestling guru, Prince Quinn Ojinnaka better known by his ring name Moose, has disclosed his retirement plans and why he is not in the World Wrestling Entertainment WWE, Roaster. The TNA (X Division) Impact Wrestling “bad boy” who last week Tuesday, 11 March 2025 had a brutal fight at Roadblock with another Nigerian pro wrestler Oba Femi of NXT at Madison Square Garden in New York disclosed his retirement plans to his fans around the world. Shortly before the hard-hitting Roadblock fight, the great WWE superstar, The Undertaker sent words of encouragement to Oba Femi to successfully defend his Yard against Moose. The Undertake also known as the Dead Man is a WWE superstar which is the parent company of NXT where Oba Femi belongs.
According to the reports filed by Umuaka Times correspondents in New York last week, Moose will be hanging the boots the moment his contract with TNA Impact expires.
“When my current deal with TNA is up,” Moose declared, “I’ll be hanging the boots up. I’m not one of those guys who go on beyond 50, I want to enjoy the money I’ve made over the years with TNA and the NFL.”

It can be recalled that before joining pro- wrestling, Moose had long deals at National Football League NFL, where he played for 7 seasons with the New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams. The American correspondents of Umuaka Times confirmed that the prominence Moose achieved during his NFL years gave him a heavy fan base across the Americas and beyond.
On his initial encounter with the WWE, Moose was quoted as saying, “I remember doing this try-out and the response was like ‘Hey, we like you a lot, but at the moment we can only offer you a seat in Tough Enough’ for me, I was in the position where Moose could become a name that stands on its own. I didn’t want to stop everything to start from scratch. I was about to sign with Ring of Honor and there was also interest from IMPACT.”
From all indications, it was the financially heavy contract from Impact that made Moose to dismiss the offer from WWE and Ring of Honor and went further and grabbed the juicy offer from TNA Impact Wrestling. Hear him: “They told me they would pay me 4 or 5 times more than what I was offered in my third contract. For me, if I look at the Ring of Honor, without any disrespect, but I only see a name of a great indie. I then saw TNA which is currently a great wrestling company, thanks to its great history behind it. This was my chance to go and play with the big boys, so I signed up with TNA, which is now IMPACT Wrestling.”
In his first contract with TNA Impact, the great son of Ojinnaka royal family was able to sign only a two year deal with TNA which had since expired in 2023. The expiration of the two year contract gave him a fresh free agent opportunity to sign the longest TNA contract which would run for 5 years.
From the available information Umuaka Times obtained in New York, Moose disclosed to newsmen that he has already signed the five-year deal with TNA. Hear him as he gives more explanations.
“I have a five-year contract with TNA and I’m expected to perform and live out all five years of that deal, and continue my goal to build TNA to bigger and better things”.
Asked if he would be interested to join WWE in the nearest future, Moose responded; “Definitely never say never [to joining WWE], right? I’ve had chances to go there and I actually had an opportunity to go there not too long ago but turned it down to stay in IMPACT.”
Umuaka Times New York findings also showed that the deal from WWE was not as attractive as the one from TNA and it was on this premise that made the “eagle to land” in the ring or TNA Impact Wrestling.
Jon Moxley of AEW signed a similar contract with Moose’s.
The TNA long contract with Moose also reminds wrestling fans and observes of the contract John Moxley (formally known as Dean Ambrose at WWE) signed with American Elite Wrestling AEW. Moxley signed a 5 year contract with AEW starting from 2022 to 2027 with a possibility of renewal. For now, Moose has declared that his doors are open for retirement as well as for WWE. It is only time that will tell for both Moose and Dean Ambrose on their next steps in the world of pro- wrestling entertainment.
