“Olamide is my biggest mentor in the industry” Sequence.

A fresh up and coming artiste who goes by the name Sequence has described an Afrobeat musician Olamide as his biggest inspiration and mentor in the music industry. The 22 year old artiste who hails from Apa LGA Benue State disclosed this to Umuaka Times entertainment correspondents in Owerri last week in a special chat he had with the newspaper.

According to Sequence whose real name is Vincent Sunday, he started music in 2011 and he does not only sing but he can also play the keyboard and drums excellently. While talking about his songs, Sequence told Umuaka Times that he sings mostly love songs and what he called “hustle music”.

In 2021, Sequence who is a linguist that speaks his native language Idoma, English, Igbo and Yoruba graduated from Amakohia Ubi Secondary School Owerri and went into hairstyling alongside music has become a household name among his friends and those who love his type of music. He has been doing very well in music and continues to rise. His first single was released in 2023 titled, Uzoma and the song which has since been downloaded in Audio Mark is making great waves in some parts of Nigeria.

In his only request, Sequence appealed to the entertainment industry investors as well as the government to support new artistes.
