Construction work begins on Umuaka Amurie Road.

The road linking Umuaka and Orie Amurie in Amurie Omanze Isu LGA Imo State is now undergoing aggressive reconstruction as the rains are here again.

According to Honourable Chibuike Duruoha, the project is being financed by the Njaba LGA. He also further stated that a local contractor from Uba Umuaka is supervising the project.

Although Umuaka Times could not confirm if the road project will be tarred or only graded, but the truth remains that work has already begun. Last week, works on the road gathered momentum when the youths of the community in some parts of Uba Umuaka went on duty to offer their services on the road.

For sometimes now, Akalites living along the Umuaka Orie Amurie Road have consistently complained about the bad state of the road. It appears it is now time for the people to enjoy.
