Umuaka lawyers congratulate new colleagues.

Individual legal practitioners from Umuaka last week took turn to celebrate and congratulate the seven new lawyers that were called to bar in Abuja in this year’s event. Indeed Umuaka community is still abuzz with floods of congratulatory messages, royal fathers, community leaders and stakeholders also sent in their goodwill messages to the seven new lawyers. The Call to Bar ceremony, held last week, opened a new chapter in the personal careers of the new lawyers.

Barrister Lesley Agams in her message noted, “Law is an honourable profession. May they bring honour to Umuaka.” HRH Eze Francis Ahanotu, the Iyi 1 of AmiyiAkah, also extended his congratulations, emphasizing on the importance of using one’s profession to benefit the society. He said, “There is more task ahead… It’s not being a doctor, a lawyer or an engineer that makes the difference these days; it’s what one brings to the society. How do we use what God has given us to better the society?”

Dr Albert Okunwa, Chief Marcel Duru SAN, Chief Jude Ezeala, Barrister IfeomaIhesie, Barrister OkeyMba and a host of other Akalites including the honourable member Imo State House of Assembly representing Njaba LGA, Chief Ozioma Worship also sent in their congratulatory messages to the new wigs. The royal father’s words of wisdom serve as a reminder to the new lawyers of their potentials to positively impact their community and society at large.

Besides the congratulatory messages, several parties have been held in and around Umuaka with the purpose of celebrating the new wigs.
