Eze Ojinnaka celebrates Atty. Chigozie Onyema.

The traditional leadership of Umuaka Ancient Kingdom has congratulated one of its own, Attorney Chigozie Onyema, on his recent election to the New Jersey General Assembly representing the 28th Legislative District in the United States.

In a press statement issued on behalf of the good people of Uba Umuaka also known as Umuaka Ancient Kingdom, which was made available to Umuaka Times,  His Royal Royal Majesty Eze Henry Izuchukwu A. Ojinnaka, Eze Sinobi IV, praised Onyema’s achievement as a source of pride for the entire community. “Your victory is not only a personal milestone but a profound source of pride for the entire Umuaka Ancient Kingdom,” the statement read.

Onyema, an African‑American of Igbo descent, is hailed as a role model for the younger generation both in Umuaka and New Jersey, embodying the possibilities that come with focus, dedication, and unwavering commitment. The monarch prayed for wisdom, strength, and divine grace as Onyema assumes his new responsibilities, and expressed confidence that he will continue to make the community proud.

The political elevation of Attorney Chigozie Onyema and the celebrations observed from the both sides of the atlantic in his honour highly underscore the growing influence of the Igbo diaspora and highlight the strong ties between Umuaka and her sons and daughters abroad.
