Isu Nation’s Christmas Conclave to hold on Dec 29.

The Isu Nation, a socio-cultural umbrella body that is made of several towns and autonomous communities in Orlu Senatorial Zone Imo State will on Monday December 29, 2025 hold her much celebrated conclave at the prestigious Glass Hall of Golden Vista Hotel Owerri. Umuaka Times gathered that the event which starts by 11pm will be held under the distinguished chairmanship of Dr Albert Okunwa, a high profile U.S based Akalite who is the president of Orlu Regional Assembly Houston Texas affiliate Dr Okunwa holds the traditional title as the Ugobuzuo 1 of Umuaka and the Akaekpuchiònwa of Ekwe.

Another high profile personality whose name has been penciled down to play the role of the chief host of the day is a Nwangele born erudite scholar, in the person of Professor Batos Nwadike. Professor Nwadike will tag along with Ichie Ken Ndukwu from Njaba as his co-host. For the intellectual feast of the day, the guests will be fed from the academic supermarket of Umuaka born renowned technocrat, South African based pharmacist and a prominent contender for Imo State governorship, Dr.T.J. Ehirim (the Igirigi Ndu Imo State) while Honourable Harrison Anozie Nwadike who represents the Isu Nation at the Federal House of Reps will be the special guest of honour.

Highly dependable sources that spoke with Umuaka Times last week confirmed that other special guests during the epoch-making event include Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu (the incumbent Deputy Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Honourable Obinna Ozuruigbo, Honourable Jones Onyereri, Honourable Chuma Nnaji. Dr. Chris Nwachukwu (a high profile Akalite and a US based attorney will be among the special guests. Other prominent special guests include Chief Nnamdi Anyaehie, a barrister at law and the incumbent Chief of Staff to Imo State Government.  Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, a former Chief of Staff to Imo State Government. Dr. Johnbosco Ozigbu (Ogwuaga of Ogwuaga), Chief Chibuike Achigbu (Akasha Nwata na Nkwerre), Hon. Dr. Uju Onwudiwe, DIG of Police, Chief Onyeka (retired).

The list also includes Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Obiefule, Hon. Mrs. Ada Orji, Chief Gibson Chigbu (Akaraka Nkwerre), His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Augustine Tochukwu Ukwuoma, a son of Isu Nation and many others from both the public service and the organized private sector whose personalities are impossible to ignore.

The RSVP for the prime time event includes Chief Emeka A. Uzowuihe (Okadike Okwudor) who is the Chairman of the organizing committee alongside Chief Kingsley Nnamdi Asife as the secretary of the organizing committee.

In an exclusive chat with Umuaka Times South African correspondents, Dr T.J Ehirim, disclosed that the purpose of the conclave is to give the members of the organization who live in several parts of the world the opportunity to consult and motivate a self-awareness and new awakenings amongst the indigenous Isu intellectuals, politicians, businessmen and women in Imo State irrespective of their diverse local governments, towns and political affiliations. He further disclosed that the Isu Nation prides itself as the most populous single Igbo clan in Imo State made up of communities like Isu Njaba, Nkwerri, Nwangele, Orlu, Onuimo, Njaba and many more.
