On Saturday, 28 March 2026, a well-organized and community-focused event took place at the Ndiuhu Achara Community Hall in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State. The occasion was an empowerment program for the youths of Ndiuhu, generously sponsored by an illustrious son of the community, Dr. Kenneth Nnaka (Ide Njaba), a U.S.-based attorney.

In a statement to Umuaka Times correspondents in the United States, Dr. Nnaka revealed that he had committed the sum of ₦20 million to support 12 Ndiuhu indigenes in developing their businesses.

By 9:00 a.m., community members had gathered at the hall for the event. The program began with an opening prayer, followed by the traditional presentation of kola nuts. Hon. Bon Nnaka (Oyi) performed the kola nut blessing, after which it was shared among attendees.

The chairman of the community, Mr. Sylvester Nnaji, delivered the opening address, explaining the purpose of the gathering and urging participants to take the program seriously. Other speakers included the community’s youth leader, Bon Nnaka, and Engineer Victor Oguwuike, who represented Dr. Kenneth Nnaka.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of funds to the beneficiaries. A total of 12 individuals—eight men and four women—were selected, although two were absent. The male beneficiaries each received ₦1.4 million, while the female beneficiaries received ₦1.1 million each to support their entrepreneurial activities.

In an interview with Umuaka Times, a young man in his mid-twenties, who chose to remain anonymous, expressed deep gratitude to Ide Njaba for remembering his people during a challenging economic period. He prayed for God’s continued blessings upon him and hoped his generosity would inspire others in Achara to undertake similar initiatives.

At the conclusion of the program, all beneficiaries expressed heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Nnaka, assuring him that his investment in their futures would not be in vain.
