Comrade Mboyi Bright Chimezie, Chairman of Aka Ebe Iri Football Association, has used the occasion of his birthday, celebrated on Sunday, November 1, 2026, to deliver a thought-provoking message to the sons and daughters of Akah, calling on them to reflect deeply on the impact of their lives, their contributions to society and the legacies they hope to leave behind. In a special birthday message sent to Umuaka Times, the renowned football administrator moved beyond the usual birthday celebrations to offer a message centred on humanity, service, mortality and the importance of making meaningful contributions to the development of Akah land.

Comrade Mboyi urged Akalites to take a moment to reflect on the number of lives they have touched and the positive impact they have made through their individual and collective efforts, particularly in the area of sports development and youth engagement. He specifically drew attention to the contributions of the Aka Ebe Iri Sports Association, noting that its activities have provided opportunities for young people to participate in sports, discover their talents and remain positively engaged in society. According to him, the importance of such contributions becomes even more evident in moments of collective grief, when the community mourns individuals whose lives and service have made lasting impressions.

Making reference to the ongoing grief among Akalites over the death of Dr. Austin Agbahiwe, Comrade Mboyi observed that the outpouring of emotions surrounding the late personality should serve as a powerful reminder of the value of human life and the importance of making a difference while one is alive. He encouraged every son and daughter of Akah to examine the kind of life they are living today and consider the memories, achievements and legacies they would leave behind when their earthly journey comes to an end.

In his words, he observed, “On my special day, I hope you take a moment to reflect on how many lives Aka Ebe Iri Sports Association has touched and how much our youths have been engaged. Today, Akalites are crying over the demise of Dr. Austin Agbahiwe because of his roles in Akah land. I want every Akah human to reflect on the lives he or she is living today and understand that one day, we will be no more.”

The birthday message is particularly significant coming from a personality whose involvement in football administration places him within the circle of individuals contributing to youth development and community engagement through sports.

His reflection also underscores a broader message to community leaders, stakeholders, professionals and the generality of Akalites: that the true measure of a person’s life should not be determined solely by personal achievements, wealth or position, but also by the positive difference made in the lives of others. Through sports, community service, mentorship and other meaningful engagements, individuals have opportunities to build legacies that will continue to speak for them long after their departure.

As the birthday boy rounded off his birthday message, he extended warm Christmas greetings in advance to all sons and daughters of Akah, wishing them happiness, peace and a season of renewed hope. His message therefore stands not merely as a birthday reflection but also as a call for greater consciousness, selfless service, unity and purposeful living among the people of Akah.
