Ezinne Regina Eburuaja goes home in peace.

From the time the body of late Ezinne Regina Eburuaja left FMC mortuary in the early hours of Monday 11 January 2021, for her home town Mgbee near Orlu, the mood of Rev Father Emmanuel Eburuaja, the second son of the deceased, completely turned gloomy. Although he managed to drive one of the cars in the motorcade, tears could not stop flowing from his eyes till the end of the journey. At Mgbee, when the body arrived the Eburuaja family compound, the youthful priest alighted from his vehicle and slowly positioned himself to receive the body of his late mother. As he was walking, he could not control his tears. His eyes had at this juncture turned reddish as the world seemed to have turned up-side down for him.
Christian mothers, youths of the town and other mourners both from Umuaka and Mgbee, could not stand the site of the priest whom they all loved very well shade tears in public, most of them broke down in tears as well. Now the body of Ezinne Regina had been placed in the lying in state room prepared by the family, Eburuaja managed to pray for his late mother and sprinkled holy water on the casket. soon after that, family members priests and other guests took time to view the remains of Ezinne Regina Eburuaja.
Because the motorcade conveying the remains of the deceased arrived Mgbee a bit late, the Master of the Ceremonies announced that people should move to Holy Cross Catholic Church for the Requiem Mass. Soon after the announcement was made, the people moved to the Church for the Mass which was conducted by the Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese, Rev Dr Tochukwu Ukwuoma.
At the church, Umuaka Times was able to count over 45 reverend fathers who were present at the Requiem Mass. There were also many groups and individuals who came all the way from Umuaka to sympathize with Fr Eburuaja. When Bishop Ukwuoma took time to speak at the service, he deeply expressed surprise that Fr Eburuaja, whom he described as a very jovial and lively priest could not say anything since the beginning of the Mass. He joked that death has humbled Eburuaja. The bishop and other priests who spoke during the service, testified that the late Regina Eburuaja lived a good life and brought up her children with the ultimate fear of God. They prayed that God would accept her soul in Paradise.
Shortly after this, the Requiem Mass came to an end and everybody went to the Eburuaja family house again for the final rites.
