The Chief Security Officer of Obinwanne Umuaka Autonomous Community has refuted the claim at certain quarters that the security outfit allows its members to cover their faces with masks while on duty. When Umuaka Times contacted the CSO last week with the allegation, he told Umuaka Times that his boys have several means that can easily identify them. According to him, the Obinwanne security outfit among other things, does not use Sienna in its operations.
“Our attention has been drown to that allegation that my boys wear masks and commit some other illegal acts. I like to dispute that completely. We operate only in Obinwanne and Afor Umuaka and we do not operate beyond these areas unless there is a distress call”.
Chief Nnadi who holds the title of Omeudo 1 of Obinwanne also advised people to watch out for Imo Vigilante outfit and other security bodies in the community and interrogate their activities within the locality.
