A Tribute to a Gift From God. By Manuela George Izunwa.
2 min readMama, you fought the good fight, indeed it was time for you to go for your reward in Heaven! You deserve it.
You were a blessed woman. Although introverted and quiet, you were very loving, humble, caring and understanding. Family was very important to you, and you made sure nothing separated your children and grandchildren.
I remember our first meeting, you quietly scrutinized me, and making sure, I was going to be a good fit for your son. It made me realize how much you had invested in him in prayer, time and other resources. Thank you for also supporting me. Michelle, our first, came 6 weeks to the commencement of Law School. I was agitated because I would have to travel to Abuja. What was I, as a neo-mama, to do with a young baby? Leave her? Forfeit school? You stepped in. You joined us all the way to Bwari staying with us for the first three months of school there. Then, you returned to Port Harcourt and nursed her until I returned after my examinations. I owe a good part of my success at my Bar exams to you, thank you!
In these recent years that you lived with us, I recall how you used to pray for me every time I had out-of-town ministrations. Your blessings ringing in my mind gave me so much confidence as I travelled to different states.
You were precious, a gift from God, with so much grace! I will miss you.
Rest on in the bosom of Jesus!
