Acharaji Akah Security Outfit inaugurated.

Monday, 5 February 2024 was a great day in Acharaji Akah Autonomous Community. On this particular day, the monarch of the community HRH Eze Ken Eguzoroibe Uzoho and the entire people of Acharaji Akah Autonomous Community gathered at the palace of the monarch and inaugurated the Acharaji Akah Security Outfit and celebrated the unification of the two Achara communities as Acharaji Akah Autonomous Community.

By 3 pm on the eventful day, the youths, mothers and fathers of the community as well as friends and well-wishers, gathered at the palace of HRH Eze Ken Uzoho for the epoch-making event. Seated among the audience was the DPO of Njaba Police Division Martins Emere. With him was his S.O. and “Commander” Ikenna Ibekwe, the coordinator of Akah Ebe Iri Security outfit. When it was time to inaugurate the outfit, the DPO was called upon by the coordinator of the outfit Mr Chief Chidi Egenonu, the Odera 1 of Acharaji Akah to perform the assignment. Already, the security boys had already lined up for the action and were waiting for instructions from above.


As the DPO took the microphone, he greeted the royal father and went straight to business. In his speech, he admonished the security group and advised them to be of good behavior and discharge their duties with fear of God and with no iota of brutality, aggression and human rights abuses.

After his speech, he assured the outfit of his support and the entire support of the Imo State Police Command as far as the outfit will abide by the laws of the land.

After the speech by the DPO, he also called “Commander” Ikenna Ibekwe to make a speech who also supported the words of the DPO in his speech.

In wasting no time, the DPO declared the outfit inaugurated based on the powers conferred on him by the Inspector of Police and the Imo State Police Command.

Speaking during the event, Chief Ukajim Augustine Jr. Ndubisi, the president-general of the community told Umuaka Times that it was time for the community to have its own security. He lamented that in the past, people were in the habit of coming into Achara community at any time of the day or night without being accosted by any security personnel. “Those days are now gone.” He finally disclosed to Umuaka Times that the security in Acharaji will work and protect Achara community as one large family. He used the opportunity and thanked God for the unification of Acharaji and Achara Umuaka towns.

Mazi Bona I. Egwuogu, the security adviser of the body also spoke with Umuaka Times during the event. He deeply expressed his heartfelt happiness and appealed to the people of the community to dance one tune and sing with one voice and forge ahead as one family.

Pastor O.J. Onumara was another indigene of the community who spoke with Umuaka Times during the ceremony. He disclosed to Umuaka Times that the community needed men with high integrity and men of substance to handle the security body. He also appealed to the people of the community to work together with the security outfit.
