Akalite set to win Miss Maryland and Miss USA.
3 min readAkalites around the world have continued to capture their different worlds in any capacity they find themselves. This has become a tradition of some sort to the people of Umuaka. Umuaka Times has it on good authority that a female Akalite American, Miss Mellissa Ikwubuo may become the 2022 Miss Maryland USA and even go a step further and become Miss USA2022. If the arrangements go as planned, Miss Mellissa Ikwubuo will be declared the next Miss Maryland USA in May 2022.
The Umuaka Times correspondent in America who filed in the report gathered that Miss Mellissa Ikwubuo is the first daughter of Chief and Mrs Eddy Ikwubuo, the Agunechemba 1 of Njaba Imo State Nigeria. The famous Miss Maryland USA contest Umuaka Times observed, selects the most beautiful beauty queen from Maryland State and other states in America for the globally acclaimed Miss USA pageant. If the beauty queen Miss Mellissa Ikwubuo emerges Miss Maryland, she will then represent the state in the Miss America beauty contest. If she wins, she will then be crowned Miss America 2022. The event has been scheduled to hold in May 2022.
Reports Umuaka Times gathered from the internet have it that, “The first Miss USA winner from Maryland, Mary Leona Gage, won Miss USA 1957. However, she was later discovered to be a mother of two sons and was therefore dethroned. In 2012, another Marylander, Nana Meriwether was placed 1st runner-up, but became Miss USA 2012 when Olivia Culpo won Miss Universe 2012.”
The reports further claimed, that, “Six Maryland titleholders are former Miss Maryland Teen USA. These four all reigned in the early 1990s, and in fact four out of six titleholders from 1990 to 1995 were former teens. Only four Miss Maryland USA have competed at Miss America.”
In order to fully prepare herself for this great task, Miss Ikwubuo has created a Go Fund Me account to enable her drum up the financial support she needs to establish the deal successfully. She needs the sum of $1,800 to prepare herself for the seriously competitive Miss Maryland. Donations are welcome.
The famous Miss Ikwubuo who read at the Ohio University, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a special focus on Accounting, Finance, and Business Law. She also has a Master’s Degree in Accountancy.
On her Go Fund Me page, the international model Miss Mellissa Ikwubuo introduced herself thus; “I am currently an Accounting Associate for the Arc of Frederick County. The Arc is a non for profit organization whose mission is dedicated to helping people with developmental disabilities live enviable lives, lives filled with purpose and meaning with friends and family. This goal is attained by creating and providing services, advocacy, and supportive communities.”
On her state of mind and feelings towards the contest, she continued; “I am beyond excited to be a state finalist in the Miss Maryland USA pageant. This prestigious pageant program allows young women to build self-confidence, individual pride, and a greater self-awareness. I want to use this platform to display the beautiful, confident woman I am continuously blossoming into an advocate for Mental Health.”
Miss Ikwubuo who strongly demonstrated an optimism towards winning the beauty contest when Umuaka Times engaged her in a chat, finally disclosed her ultimate goal in creating the Go Fund Me page: “My ultimate goal is to raise $1800 by March 1 2022. This will cover my sponsorship fee plus other pageant preparation expenses. The sponsorship fee will cover lodging, meals, entertainment, prizes etc…As a business, your donation may be utilized as a tax deduction. You are welcome to contribute as much as you would like as any contribution is greatly appreciated.”
