“Why I want to be Miss Maryland USA.” Miss Mellissa Ikwubuo

Top model and Umuaka born American international beauty queen, Miss Mellissa Ikwubuo has explained to Umuaka Times why she wants to become Miss Maryland USA by May 2022 . Speaking with the Umuaka Times correspondent in America, the beauty queen who is currently engaged as a social worker specializing on “individuals with developmental disabilities,” confirmed that she became interested in the pageant “because it gives women like myself the opportunity to show who they are and the things they strongly believe in.”
The model whose height, charm and other interesting qualities stand her out exclusively above other models also told Umuaka Times what happens if she wins the beauty contest. “If I win, I will go on to represent the State of Maryland in the Miss USA pageant in 2021, where all the other winners from other states in the US compete.”
Concerning the special pet project she would like to embark upon if the star prize of Miss Maryland USA2022 becomes hers at last, Miss Mellissa Ikwubuo has this to say. “I will also use my platform to advocate for the importance of Mental Health and financial literacy. As I continue on my journey, things that are brought to my attention, I will look into and try to be a positive change in the right direction.”
On the fall of education, positive social activities among the youths, the beauty queen deeply expressed her determination in being a positive force in the act of role modeling for the youths, especially young girls. “I also want to be a role model for young girls as well.”
About the workable social strategy she wishes to employ to achieve all these, the Miss Melissa Ikwubuo concludes; “I don’t want to do this by just saying do this and do that, but showing them you can be a strong, independent, confident, woman who stands for something they strongly believe in.”
Umuaka Times gathered that by April 2022, everything about the pageant must have been put in place while the competition holds in the next month May 2022.
