Amiyi baby stolen and finally found by the police.

A 9 month old baby who was allegedly stolen from Amiyi Akah Autonomous Community about two weeks after a similar incident took place in Amakor also in Umuaka community, has been found and returned to the parents. According to what Umuaka Times gathered from The Cable newspaper, the 9 month old baby was stolen by a woman known as Fabiana Paulinus.

According the report from The Cable, “Vincent Durugbo, a resident of the Umuaka community, told The Cable that child theft has suddenly been on the rise in the entire Njaba LGA.


“Durugbo said Precious Duru, mother of the baby, newly moved into a house in the Amaiyi area, adding that the suspected abductor is a teacher at St. Saviour’s Catholic Secondary School, Umuaka.”

In a recent report Umuaka Times gathered from a reliable source over the weekend, the operatives from Njaba Police Division in Imo State recently arrested a suspect simply addressed as Bebiana Paulinus over the theft of the 9-month-old baby girl in Amaiyi Umuaka. Umuaka Times was reliably informed that the poor baby has since been united with her parents. The Njaba Police Division has confirmed the story according to source from the community.
