Angelina Ugbaja Foundation celebrates Easter for the indigent.

The Nneoma Angelina Ugbaja Charitable Foundation, a community based non-governmental organization with headquarters in Umuaka Njaba LGA Imo State on April 5th 2021 which was Easter Monday, played host to indigent members of the public drown from the 27 local councils in the State.  The program tagged Nneoma Angelina Feeding Program for the Indigent, through its special selection process, assembled 60 persons of different ages from the state where each of them received rice, tomatoes, groundnut oil, cabin biscuits, wrappers and a carton of indomie noodles and more.

While presenting her speech at the event, the Executive Director of the Nneoma Angelina Ugbaja Charitable Foundation, Mrs Dorothy Egbule, thanked the people who against all odds, came from the 27 local councils in the state for the program. She extolled the virtues of the woman of substance, the late Mrs Angelina Ugbaja whose legacy was being amplified through the foundation. According to her, the late Mrs Angelina Ugbaja was a woman who used little resources within her disposal to cater for the needy during her lifetime.


“We are here today to continue to promote the legacy left behind by Mrs Nneoma Angelina Ugbaja. You are all here today to take part in the palliatives this foundation is giving out to you all. As the time goes on, we will be able to expand on the number of beneficiaries for this feeding program,” she told the audience.

Some of the women who knew the late Mrs Angelina Ugbaja in person during her lifetime, strongly testified that she lived for humanity. Mrs Jovita Igbo, an Amurie woman and a member of the audience told the gathering that the woman in question hailed from the same kindred of Umuezeala Uba like she, used her life and time to touch many lives during her lifetime. She asked the people to always remember her in their prayers so that God will grant her eternal rest on the last day.

According to Mrs Dora Egbule, the feeding program of the foundation will be held several times in a year as time goes on. She appealed for support of from the relevant agencies so as to institutionalize the activities of the foundation.
