Thursday 22 June 2023 was a time of joy and happiness at Hilltop Primary School Uba and Unity Primary School Obinwanne as Hon. Kenneth Obioha (DOI) Ochinanwata and the former Executive Chairman, Njaba LGA Imo State presented his birthday gifts to the pupils of the Unity Primary School Obinwanne and Hilltop Primary School Uba. The event which was made possible by kendoris Foundation with the full support of Mr Enugu Comedian, Sylvester Chisom, saw all the pupils in the school receiving books and sandals.

While speaking with Hon Obioha last week on the event of his birthday, Umuaka Times first wished him a happy birthday and he disclosed to Umuaka Times that Mr Sylvester Chisom (Enugu Comedian), a good friend of his donated the materials which were distributed among some selected primary schools in Njaba LGA.

“You know, Enugu Comedian is a good friend of mine. When he heard of my birthday, he called me and requested me to choose three primary schools he would share some school materials with. I forwarded Unity Primary School Obinwanne, Hilltop Primary School Uba and another primary school in Amucha to him. Surprisingly, he made available the school materials to the selected schools as his contribution towards my birthday celebration. I can’t thank him enough.”

On his birthday message, Hon Obioha, a chieftain of Labour Party in Njaba LGA gave all the thanks to God for his protections and blessings towards him, his family, friends and the entire Obinwanne community and beyond. He specifically thanked Mr Sylvester Chisom who came all the way from Enugu State to support the event by putting smile on the faces of primary school pupils in Njaba LGA Imo State.

The issue of love and unity occupied the centre stage of the message from Hon Obioha. “Akalites should cultivate the idea of love and unity, nurture it and make it a citizen of the community. With love and unity, peace, progress and development are certain.”

For some reasons, Hon Obioha could not make it to the events which took place at the two primary schools on the same day. He sent his media aid to represent him during the presentations.
