Bishop Edu Adigwe blasts Nigerian government.

3 min read

The President of Adigwe World Outreach, a global Christian outreach ministry that is taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations of the world and the presiding Bishop of Alpha International Christian Center, His Lordship Bishop Edu Adigwe has expressed deep worries and concerns over the dangerous political developments from Nigeria in the last few years. The bishop who took a sweep on the Nigerian state, judiciary and the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, described the county as a nation on the brink of collapse. The Pentecostal Bishop who told Umuaka Times that the entire world is now his parish, due to the nature of his brand of evangelism, made the disclosures during an interview with the Umuaka Times correspondent in the United States of America.

The visibly angry bishop sadly notes: “Nigeria is fast becoming a failed state. APC and INEC have destroyed democracy in Nigeria. No nation survives without strong institutions of Government. All our institutions of government have been compromised by the criminal political leaders. Our judiciary is now a joke where politicians go to bribe judges in order to get favorable judgment. Nigeria is a complete mess and only a revolution will save the country.”

On the international image of the country from the global perspective, the Uba Umuaka born man of God also aptly puts it thus: “The image of Nigeria has been bad for years but the selection of BAT (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) by INEC has made it even worse. He lacks legitimacy and I don’t see him lasting long in Aso Rock.”

On the preparedness of Nigerians to embrace new thinking and move on the right path with the rest of the world, the controversial bishop lamented seriously on how the Nigerian politicians have so far wasted the potentials of the country.

“Nigeria has the potential of becoming a great country. Nigerians are making great impact in the nations of the world especially in USA and Europe. The problem of Nigeria is leadership and we missed a very good opportunity last February of handing over the country to the right people (Peter Obi and Datti) who have what it takes to move Nigeria to her promised land.”

On the controversial Muslim/Muslim ticket introduced by the APC, the man of God whose marriage to Prophetess Vivian Adigwe is blessed with two boys; Chinedu Jr and Didi, described it as a slap in the face of Nigerian Christians. “It’s the height of insensitivity to the feelings of Nigerians of different faiths. Tinubu has sown a seed of distrust that will take decades to uproot. The irony of it now is that many Muslims are now crying out at the colossal failure of this criminal and illegitimate government. Many so called Christians supported this evil because of personal and ethnic interest. That’s very unfortunate. Christians should remain law abiding and keep praying for divine intervention. Divine judgment is going to hit this criminal cabal that has held Nigeria hostage.”

Despite his sharp criticisms, the man of God also had some positive reservations on the future of the nation. He believes that Nigeria will still rise again. “All hope is not lost. The darkness part of the night is the beginning of a new day. I see Nigeria rising again through a strong revolution.”

Asked to talk a little about his ministry and his brand of evangelism, the youthful man of God concludes: “My last program schedule for 2023 is in the Caribbean nation of the Bahamas but had to reschedule for early next year. I preach in crusades, conferences and seminars here in the USA and around the world. I graduated from Church based ministry to global outreach. The whole world is now my parish. I am the presiding Bishop of Alpha International Christian Center. I am based here in Atlanta Georgia.”
