The above were the exact words from Dame Nneoma Cathy Odueze when Umuaka Times engaged her in an exclusive interview five months ago. The interview was so nice that Umuaka Times editors promised to engage her again during Christmas celebration later in the year. That proposed engagement alas, never happened. Last week, Nneoma Catherin Ada Odueze, Nneoma Nwere Ugo, Papal Knight, JP, well established woman leader and mother of mothers took her last breath on earth to answer the divine call from God.
According to a statement issued by Engineer Cajetan Uche Odueze and Chief Dr Frank Emeka Odueze, the two sons of the Nneoma Oha Nile, Dame Cathy Odueze died at the age of 81 years. The press statement only announced the death of the amazing Amazon and later informed the people that her burial plans would be announced later.
Nneoma Cathy Odueze used her leadership skills to develop Umuaka, especially women empowerment . She led several women organizations including Odiziaku Social Club of Umuaka, Catholic Women Organization and Orlu Diocesan Catholic Women Organization and a host of others.
