Eze-Elect, Chief Sir Charles Amuzie (KSC), has explained why he sank a borehole water project for his community Amakor in Umuaka Town.  The Agunaecheibe while answering questions from the Umuaka Times correspondent in America confirmed this from his base in America. “I sank borehole for my people in memory of my late wife, Lolo Chioma Beatrice Amuzie.”

Chief Amuzie who went on to say that the water project was in accordance with the wishes of his wife as she lay on her sick bed on the day she died.

“Lying on the hospital bed, she asked me to bring pen and paper so we can talk about the kids, she wanted to talk about how to make the kids’ environment safe and Eco-friendly. That was the last conversation I had with her before she died”.

According to Chief Amuzie, his late wife  has always been concerned about how dangerous the track to the stream is and the need to bring water closer to the people. “For me, one of the best ways to keep her memory alive is to sink a borehole in the community, because water is life and it will keep the kids away from the dangerous track to the stream.”

In his conclusion, Chief Amuzie, who will soon receive his Umuaka Times Covid19 Charity Award concluded that access to clean water can change everything in the community. He further stressed that many borehole projects should be expected in the community still in honour of his late wife.
