Chief Chinedu Olebuike loses maternal grandmother.
1 min readMrs Ezinne Eunice Okoroafor (nee Anyadike), the maternal grandmother of Chief Chinedu Olebuike, the Emetumba Ahu Dike 1 of Amazano and the Chimere Eze 1 of Oboro Amurie has passed on. According to an exchange of whatsapp messages between Umuaka Times and Chief Chinedu Olebuike, the late Mrs Ezinne Eunice Okoroafor spent 121 years on earth.
From the information Umuaka Times gathered, her burial date has been fixed on Friday 11 December 2020. On the same day, there will be a requiem Mass for the repose of her soul at St Michael’s Catholic Parish in her home town Oboro Amurie, Isu LGA Imo State.
According to Chief Olebuike, the grandmother who was also known as Golden Mother was a woman who received extraordinary blessings with a high dose of wisdom from God. “With her native intelligence, I learn a lot from her and she was indeed a big mother to me. Honestly we are going to miss her,” Olebuike told Umuaka Times.
Expected to grace the burial ceremony are several organizations and dignitaries including those in and outside Nigeria. Also Christian groups, cultural dance performers, live musical groups and more are expected at the event for the final farewell to the woman who saw it all.
The line of activities mapped out by the burial committee of Mrs Ezinne Eunice Okoroafor (nee Anyadike) may most likely turn to a carnival of some sort, considering the achievements of the Golden Mother.
