Mr Paulinus Ihekanwa Obioha, the 80 year old younger brother of Triple Chief Cyril Obioha from Okwudor Ibele of Ibele Autonomous Community Njaba LGA who celebrated his birthday last week has described his elder brother as a man of integrity with no bad record both in and outside Igboland. Mr Obioha stated this during an interview with Umuaka Times as the birthday celebrations were going on last week. According to him, Chief Cyril Obioha is his surviving elder brother who just turned 90 years while he himself is 80 years. He first thanked God for blessing his elder brother with good age, sound mind, health and wisdom.
On the live and times of his brother, the younger Obioha described the “birthday boy” as someone who is known for his uprightness, honesty and integrity in the community and beyond. He disclosed to Umuaka Times that such virtues are found in the family because both his elder brother and he too, learnt such traits from their late father Obioha who was a rain maker, rain stopper and an Ozo title holder during his time.
On his activities and generosity in the community, ”I can confirm to you that he learnt the act of assisting others from our dad. During his active years, my brother gave many people in Umuaka job and at least, 1 person from each village in Umuaka benefited.”
Umuaka Times gathered from the younger Mr Obioha that due to his role in the community and the way he has positively impacted in Okwudor Ibele, the whole community gave him the title of Agunechemba in appreciation of his bravery and support to the community.
“The number of people who had come today to honor and celebrate with us is a clear testimony of what I am talking about. Chief is someone we ae very proud of.”
Paulinus Ihekanwa Obioha finally used the opportunity and thanked all those who came for the celebration and prayed to God to bless them with ripe ages as well.
