Chief Louis Duru commends Pastor George Izunwa.

Amiyi Akah born chief and former commissioner of Chieftaincy Affairs in the state, Chief Louis Duru has commended the Lead Pastor of Gateway International Church Port Harcourt, Pastor George Izunwa on the three day free medical outreach organized by the George Izunwa Foundation which took place in Umuaka Njaba LGA Imo State. The commendation authorized by the former commissioner was contained in a whatsapp voice message he sent to Umuaka Times last week which lasted for 3 minutes 45 seconds.
Chief Duru did not only thank God for the kindness of the Gateway International Church’s pastor and the members of the George Izunwa Foundation, but he also appealed to other Akalites with resources to emulate the social ideology of Pastor George Izunwa. “The only way we can work things out as a team today in Umuaka is just to use what God has given to us to assist the less privileged. We should close the wide gap between the poor and the rich because a hungry man is an angry man.”
Still on the vote of thanks, Duru also recalled that last Christmas, several low income Akalites benefitted from various empowerment programs organized by individuals and corporate bodies here in Umuaka community. He further made a passionate appeal to those behind such gestures to continue on the pattern assisting each other.
