Crime wave drops in Njaba as Christmas draws nearer.
2 min readThe heinous activities of criminals such as motorcycle hijackers, armed attackers of POS agents and other juvenile delinquencies have dropped in Njaba LGA according to some sources who spoke with Umuaka Times last week.
It can be recalled that a couple of months ago, motorcycle hijackers turned Umuaka town to a newfound land for their criminal activities and started to rub innocent people within Njaba and Isu LGAs. Reports had it that the criminals made a big kill from their robbery expeditions in and around Njaba and at times killed their victims after dispossessing them of their belongings.
Recent investigations by Umuaka Times show that such horrific experiences many had within the locality has dropped drastically as security outfits and the police in Njaba Police Division in Umuaka are leaving no stones unturned in their determination to ensure a crime-free December and Christmas celebrations by all.
About 6 months ago, Umuaka Times was making breaking news announcements bothering on armed robbery attacks at least 3 times a week but in the last one month, no such announcements have so far been made by the newspaper. A lot of factors indeed contributed to the calm situation. From several sources, Ekwe Dum Security in Isu LGA, and the security outfit in Amurie Omanze as well as those in Umuaka community were able to launch a big manhunt for some bad boys in their communities. Some were arrested and others fled. Those who fled are aware of what awaits them if they try returning home soon.
