1 min readThe diocesan president of Catholic Women Organization Orlu, Nneoma Dr Mrs Anthonia Aliako of St Mary’s Catholic Church Ugbele Ideato South Imo State has appealed to her fellow Catholic women in Umuaka in particular and Orlu Diocese in general to emulate the footsteps of the late Dame Cathy Odueze, the former diocesan president of Orlu CWO. Dr Mrs Anthonia Aliako who was one of the women dignitaries from various organizations the late Dame Cathy Odueze belonged to, disclosed this while answering questions from an Umuaka Times reporter during the burial of the late Dame Odueze.
According to her, no human being is perfect but Dame Odueze lived an eventful life worthy of emulation by our women and all. “If we can follow her footsteps, if the family she left behind can follow her footsteps, there will be more peace in our society today,” she told Umuaka Times.
On her role as a great woman leader, Dr Aliako described the late Mrs Odueze as a woman who had already made answers to several problems bothering on leadership. She eventually lamented that the diocese will greatly miss her motherly advice as time goes on. She prayed to God to receive her soul in Paradise and give those she left behind the fortitude to bear the great loss.
