The president of Odoziaku Social Club of Umuaka, Imo State Nigeria, Ezinne Odoziaku Damiana Nnadozie has joined the growing number of top personalities from Imo State currently mourning the death of Dame Cathy Odueze who passed away a few weeks ago. In a brief interview with Umuaka Times days before the burial of the woman of substance, Ezinne Damiana Nnadozie told Umuaka Times that the number of women groups and non- women groups across the nation who had encounter with the late Mrs Odueze is yet to come to terms with the sad reality of her death.

“All the women will totally miss her at various levels. It was through her that we all ‘opened our eyes’ as women. In fact the person who told me that she was dead, I never believed it. Honestly if the person had told me face to face, I would have slapped him because it was an expensive joke.”

Continuing with Umuaka Times, Mrs. Nnadozie informed the newspaper that she and the late Odueze were colleagues as teachers and despite being her senior colleague, Mrs Odueze related with her with good manners on several capacities.
“In our club, Odoziaku, she was one of our pillars. At the diocesan level, she developed the women and empowered them.”

On the type of life and how Dame Odueze impacted on several persons who came into contact with her while alive, Mrs Nnadozie told Umuaka Times that it will take a whole day to do so.
She noted: “Talking about the personality of Mrs Odueze, will take a whole day. She was someone you can always rely on as far as leadership and administration are concerned.” She eventually asked God to receive her soul in his Paradise.
