Dr. Simon Iberosi Awarded Walden Social Change Fellowship Grant.

Dr. Simon Iberosi, a native of Uba Umuaka, has been elected as a Walden Social Change Fellow by the prestigious Walden University in the United States. This esteemed position includes a grant to be used for a specified area of research, as agreed upon by both parties.

According to a letter signed by Lisa Pertillar-Brevard, Ph.D., Lead Fellow and Director of the Walden University Center for Social Change, and Laura Lynn, Ph.D., Dean of the Office of Research & Doctoral Services, the grant will support Dr. Iberosi’s study titled “Environmental Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting as a Strategic Imperative of Nigerian Multinational Oil Companies’ Business Sustainability.”

The Research and Applications for Social Change Grant (RASCG) is one of the criteria for selecting Walden Social Change Fellows, highlighting the rigorous nature of the selection process. With this grant, Dr. Iberosi is now a Walden Social Change Fellows Program (SCFP) member. Fellows are expected to conduct their proposed research or applied projects and participate in SCFP activities as outlined in the program guidelines provided within the RASCG proposal request.

In an interview with Dr. Iberosi, who specializes in energy management and business sustainability, expressed his gratitude for the grant and membership in the SCFP. Reflecting on his experience at Walden University, he emphasized the importance of determination and perseverance in his doctoral journey. He views the grant as validating his contributions to social change efforts, inspiring him to continue making a difference in the world. “I am deeply honored to have been selected for the grant, which allowed me to join the Walden Social Change Fellows Program. This recognition reaffirms the significance of my contribution to social change efforts and inspires me to continue making a difference in the world,” said Dr. Iberosi.
