Economic crunch: Edozie Egbule calls for business diversification.

For the people to remain afloat economically and face the demands and challenges of today,the Managing Director and President of CELDORS (Njaba) Cooperative Thrift and Credit Union Ltd, Mr Edozie Egbule has called on the general public especially those within Imo State to diversify their businesses and open the doors for more financial inflow. Mr Egbule disclosed this in an interactive session he had with Umuaka Times reporters who paid him a courtesy call last week. According to him, Celdors Limited is a financial institution which helps low income traders etc to fight poverty and diversify their businesses. According to him, “Celdors strives to put smiles on every face by ensuring there is sufficient food on every family table. Celdors Ltd shows every concern to the welfare of her members and contributors. Umuaka town in Njaba LGA Imo State is the host community of the financial outfit.”

Asked to explain the type of business Celdors is involved with, Egbule disclosed that Celdors encourages her members to be engaged in well-meaning daily business activities and make regular contributions to their contribution accounts with the office which is saved for them. They are allowed to withdraw all or part of their contributions as they wish. He also told Umuaka Times that Celdors gives soft loans to low income earners at a very low rate.

Umuaka Times also gathered that Celdors also offers business consultancy and advisory services to her members to enable them setup new businesses and run them successfully. “Members having existing business also consult with Celdors on how to run them effectively.”

Other products or services offered by Celdors include daily contributions known as akawo in the local palance, Special weekly contribution, Christmas and Easter food packages contributions and a lot more.

Celdors on itsown has diversified into poultry farm and selling of essential commodities to her members.

Mr Egbule finally appealed to the general public to engage the services of the Celdors as the company is a fully registered business establishment with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Imo State.
