Dr Udochukwu elected ALBA Party top official in Scotland.

UK based medical doctor and a high profile Akalite, Dr Udochukwu Kings Nwaokorobia has been elected the chairman, Disciplinary Committee, National Council of Alba Party Scotland. From the reports filed by Umuaka Times correspondent in UK, the election was held during the intra party National Executive Council election of ALBA Party in Scotland recently.
While confirming the story to Umuaka Times last week, Dr Udochukwu disclosed that the new position his party has put on his shoulders is very tasking and requires steadfastness and dedication. He thanked the party for finding him worthy to hold such a sensitive position.
It can be recalled that Dr Udochukwu who hails from Umuele Amazano ran for councillorship in the Glasgow City Council under ALBA Party last year.
During his campaign days, the youthful politician was hailed for his reason for going into politics; “I am going to campaign against the inequalities minority communities experience in health and social care welfare.”
In this election that gave him victory, Umuaka Times gathered that he ran for the office with 13 other party members and won eventually. He described his victory as a feat in the political history of Scottish party across party lines that an African and Nigerian could chair such an exulted committee.
As UK prepares for general election come next year 2024, Dr Udochukwu will be chairing the committee involved with electoral appeals that may arise from the selection of candidates and recommend disciplinary actions against any erring members. The ALBA Party is yet to fix a date for the inauguration of the new officials of the party.
