Emeka Duruigbo sponsored free medical outreach shifted to another date.

The take-off date for the much-publicized free medical outreach in Orlu, organized by Revive Belgium in partnership with the Emeka and Cherish Duruigbo Foundation, has been delayed momentarily.The medical outreach, which was scheduled to commence on Monday, September 7, 2026, has been affected by delays in the issuance of visas by the Nigerian Embassy in Brussels, reportedly following the introduction of a new policy by the new Nigerian Ambassador.

Umuaka Times correspondents in Belgium gathered that the medical team had been fully prepared to depart Europe on Saturday, September 5, but the visa delay has prevented the entire team from travelling as originally planned.The development has left members of the medical team heartbroken, while the hosts have expressed deep sadness over the situation, particularly because of the numerous people who have been eagerly waiting to receive medical assistance during the outreach.

However, the Executive Director of Emeka and Cherish Duruigbo Foundation, Professor Emeka Duruigbo in a telephone conversation with Umuaka Times correspondents in America, assured the public that efforts are ongoing to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.According to the information Umuaka Times obtained from him, some members of the medical team who have already secured their visas departed Europe for Abuja on Saturday, while arrangements are being made for the remaining members to join them as soon as possible.

Duruigbo expressed optimism that the outstanding visa issues would be resolved soon and that the rest of the medical team would arrive in Nigeria before the end of this week. He appealed to the numerous beneficiaries who have been looking forward to the medical outreach to remain patient, assuring them that the program has not been cancelled but only delayed momentarily.

The Revive Belgium and Emeka and Cherish Duruigbo Foundation team expressed their sincere regret over the inconvenience caused by the unexpected development and reaffirmed their commitment to providing the much-needed medical assistance to the people of Orlu.
