The family of the late Engineer Rufus Eberechukwu Onwuka of Umudim, Achara Umuaka Njaba LGA Imo State has announced the death of the Engineer Rufus Eberechukwu.
In a press statement issued to newsmen by one of the children of the late Engineer, Hon Ifeoma Felista Ayanugwo (Mrs), a town planner, explained that the funeral arrangements and the final rites of passage for the 79 year old Engineer Rufus Onwuka, will begin on Thursday December 16, 2021 by 4pm, with a service of songs and night of tributes at the compound of the late Rufus Onwuka in Umudim Achara Umuaka.
Friday December 17, 2021, lying-in-state holds at the same venue as mourners pay their last tributes by 9am. By 10 am, commemoration service also takes place in the late Rufus Onwuka’s residence in Umudim Achara.
Umuaka Times learnt that Sunday December 19, 2021, has been set aside by the family for an outing service which holds at the Assemblies of God Church domiciled in Achara.
The late Engineer Rufus Eberechukwu Onwuka was born on April 16, 1942 and he passed on to the world beyond on May 31, 2021.
Umuaka Times sympathizes with the entire Onwuka family over the death of their dad who has been described by many as a top community leader and a devout Christian. May his soul rest in peace.
