It can be recalled that last week Friday being November 18, 2022, the Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese, Rev Dr Augustine Ukwuoma appointed the first parish priest to the Obinwanne Catholic community.
While speaking with the Umuaka Times correspondent who covered the event, the royal father thanked the entire Catholic community of St Mary’s Church Umuaka, the parent parish of St Patrick’s, reverend fathers, Umuaka Christian fathers and mothers, the bishop of Orlu Diocese and most especially, the entire Obinwanne community for their respective roles towards making the dream of Obinwanne people a reality.
On his personal feelings over the entire event, the royal father disclosed that he was overwhelmed with joy after seeing how far the journey has lasted. He further described the whole journey as a great miracle of God and asked God to continue to bless and protect the Obinwanne people.
Discussing how success was achieved in the entire sjourney, Eze Justin Ezeala first of all, gave the Almighty God the glory and later ascribed the success to the spirit of oneness the Obinwanne community is known for over the years. He used the opportunity and prayed to God to lead all the persons who came from various parishes in and outside Umuaka home safely at the end of the thanksgiving service.
