The family of late Simeon Mbadinuju Durugo of Umuobute family of Obazi Isiozi Akah has announced the passage to glory of her mother, wife, sister, mother in-law, grandmother and great grandmother, the late Ezinne Susan Titi Durugo (nee Chimezie). The late Mrs Durugo who was also known as Mama Catena due to her devoted Christian life as a Catholic faithful slept in the Lord on Wednesday 7 August 2024.
The local affairs correspondents of Umuaka Times who paid an official visit to the bereaved family last week, confirmed that the burial plans for the rites of passage of the amiable woman of God has been released.
According to the burial program Umuaka Times obtained from the family which was signed by Chief Calistus Chiedozie Durugo, (the Okpataozuoha), a wake-keep and service of songs will hold in honor of the devote Christian mother in her family residence on Wednesday October 9. This event starts by 8 pm.
On Thursday October 10, 2024, the remains of the late Ezinne will leave the mortuary of Umuaka Community Hospital in a motorcade to her husband’s compound in Obazi Isiozi Akah. Interment will follow after the requiem Mass in the compound of the husband by midday.
The late Ezinne Susan Titi Durugo who was born in 1919 was survived by many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and in-laws. She slept at the age of 105 years.
