How Fr Eburuaja Stadium is breeding footballers in Umuaka.

On every Sunday, Monday and Saturday, the famous Father Eburuajja Stadium Umuezeala Uba plays host to a good number of rising football stars from the locality who come to hold their training sessions at the local stadium. Many up and coming football stars across Umuaka who train at this Catholic Church facility told Umuaka Times that they are happy that they are training at the facility because of the convenience they derive from the place. No disturbance from anyone and the host community is very friendly with them.
On Sunday 2 August 2020, the footballers drown from many villages in Umuaka held a friendly football match between All Stars Football Club Uba and All Stars Football Club.
While speaking with an Umuaka Times reporter who visited the facility, the two captains of the football clubs, Captain Okoro Chidiebere from All Stars FC Uba and Captain Ekene Obi from All Stars FC were very happy to receive the reporter. They told Umuaka Times that nobody is funding or assisting their trainings. They regretted that Rev Father Eburuaja is no longer in the parish because according to them, he is the father of many football clubs in Umuaka. They showed optimism that Father Eburuaja will come to their aid the moment he arrives Nigeria.
The captains used the opportunity to call on all sports lovers in the community to assist them in any way they can so as to create a new era of acclaimed footballers from Umuaka when the current professional footballers from the community retire.
From the observations of the Umuaka Times reporter who visited the facility, the footballers are very dedicated and hardworking in their training sessions.
