James Dike Foundation announces new scholarships for 2022/23.

The foundation of the late Rev Brother James Dike has announced its scholarship scheme for 2022/ 23 scholarship awards. This information was contained in a press statement issued by the foundation and made available to newsmen including Umuaka Times last week in Owerri. The statement which was signed by Mazi Chika Obiakonwa, the secretary of the foundation and Prof Agu Ben, the chairman of the foundation disclosed that the scholarship scheme is open to the Nigerian youths who have passed their WAEC /SSCE certificates.

According to the press statement, the foundation is offering both full and partial scholarships to the applicants who qualify. The full scholarships will be given to the exceptionally brilliant students who made distinctions in their papers while the partial scholarship will go for the average students which will take care of up to 50 percent of total fees payable by the students during the duration of their studies.

Umuaka Times also gathered that the scholarship which promises to be competitive will have the students sit for the scholarship examination. Successful students will be notified by the foundation for further engagements with their schools of their choices. The date for the examination has been fixed on Saturday 30, August 2022 in all the centres. The form for the scholarship is totally free of charge and those above 30 years are not eligible to apply.

In Umuaka Centre, Augusta Iheme (08067732534) will be in charge while in Egbema town, Chima Okoro (08161990518 will be in charge also. Other areas include Omoaku Centre where Pastor Nick Nwokeoma (07030726234) will be coordinating. Owerri Centre has Osuiwu Chukwuemeka (08039519435). Umuagwo Centre is handled by Joshua Obasi (08149347925). Mbaise Centre is Prof Agu Ben (08035826220). Oru Centre, Rev Dr Ugonna Okoro (08061343174 or 08038798425). Orlu Centre is under Rev Ifeanyi Egbumunu (08164998255). Irete Centre, Prof Okpara L.(08030534916). Ndonu Centre, Pst Dike (08134123566).

From the findings Umuaka Times established, the late Rev Brother James Dike dedicated his life to the service of humanity in terms of education to the needy and physically challenged. Since its inception, the foundation has assisted over 1000 students with scholarships for both National Diploma Higher National Diploma across Nigeria.
