Klub88, a group of old students who graduated from the famous High School Umuaka in 1988 has financially empowered some of her members and some selected widows whose husbands were members of the group before they passed away. This information was disclosed to Umuaka Times late last week when a reporter from the newspaper called on Mr Onyebuchi Eze, who was the Senior Prefect of the students in 1988.
Two widows whose husbands were members of the club were empowered with the sum of N200,000 each while two members of Klub88 were given N300,000 each.
Another member of the club who has a serious health challenge was also given the sum of N50,000 to take care of his health.
The recipients of the financial empowerment deeply expressed their joy over the kind gesture from Klubb88.
Umuaka Times gathered that the empowerment would be a yearly affair and those who did not receive theirs in the year 2022, were advised to exercise patience till the next year round of empowerment. It can be recalled that it was Klubb88 that first started old boys association at HSU according to the year of graduations by students.
