Lesley Agams wins 2020 Umuaka Times Man of the Year Award.

Ms Lesley Chinwe Agams has won the 2020 Man of the Year Award for Umuaka community for the year 2020. The decision to make Agams the winner of the Man of the Year Award was reached after a careful study of all her intervention programs in the community in building the financial base and capacity of Umuaka women. Agams has through her group, Women’s Crisis Centre WCC, empowered over 60 Umuaka women with N50,000 each. She has also empowered other women in other endeavours.
Above all these, she has allocated the national headquarters of the WCC in Umuaka so as to be able to reach the people easily.
The victory of Agams is the first time a woman has won the prestigious Man of the Year Award from Umuaka Times. It can be recalled that last year, it was Pastor George Izunwa that won the award and Chief Chris Akuzuruahu won the Man of the Year for Njaba LGA in the same year.
