Luke Ukonu congratulates Prof. Duruigbo; donates ₦500,000 to medical mission.

A London-based lawyer and Principal Partner of Samuel Louis Solicitors, Barrister Luke Ukonu, has congratulated Professor Emeka Duruigbo on the successful free medical outreach organised in Orlu, Imo State, describing the initiative as a commendable effort to provide healthcare support to people in need. The free medical outreach was organized by Emeka and Cherish Duruigbo Foundation, a United States of America based NGO which brought medical experts from Belgium under an NGO called REVIVE. The week-long medical outreach, which brought medical services to residents and other beneficiaries in Orlu, attracted commendation from Ukonu, who said he was delighted to recently learn about the initiative and the work being done by his longtime friend and “good brother.”
In a message addressed to Professor Duruigbo and made available to Umuaka Times, Ukonu recalled that the two had known each other since their days as the members of Alter Boys’ Club otherwise known as Mass Servers at St Mary’s Catholic Church Umuaka, although they had not been in contact for some time. He said he only recently came across information about the medical outreach through Umuaka Times, and was pleased to discover the humanitarian work being undertaken by Professor Duruigbo to support people in need.
“Congratulations to my good brother and friend, Professor Emeka Duruigbo, on this commendable medical outreach,” Ukonu stated.
He described the provision of medical support to less privileged members of society as a meaningful form of service to humanity, stressing that every contribution could make a difference in people’s lives. According to him, his decision to support the initiative financially was motivated by his appreciation of the humanitarian objectives of the outreach. Ukonu announced a personal donation of ₦500,000 towards the initiative, saying he hoped the contribution would assist the organisers in whatever way possible.
“It may not be much, but I hope it will assist in whatever way possible,” he said.
The London-based lawyer also commended Professor Duruigbo and others involved in the outreach for their commitment to serving humanity, and prayed for God’s continued blessings upon them and everyone supporting the initiative.
The medical outreach was organised as a humanitarian intervention to provide healthcare services to people who might otherwise face difficulties accessing specialized medical care. Ukonu’s commendation and financial contribution have added to the expressions of support surrounding the initiative, which brought together medical professionals and humanitarian partners to provide services to beneficiaries in Orlu.
