The remains of the late Mrs Grace Izunwa, the mother of the Lead Pastor of Port Harcourt based Gateway International Church, George Izunwa will be buried on Friday November 18, 2022. The burial ceremony will take place at the family compound of the Izunwas in Uba Umuaka Njaba LGA Imo State.
From what Umuaka Times gathered over the weekend, several VIPs both from in and outside the country are expected at the celebration of the life and times of Mrs Izunwa who was known for her humility, straight forwardness and deep fear of God during her eventful years on earth.
In a brief chat with the burial committee last week, Umuaka Times gathered that several strategies are being implemented by many organizations including church and community based groups in order to ensure a successful farewell to the divot Christian mother. The compound of Hilltop Primary School located in Uba Umuaka has been picked by the committee as the reception venue for the entertainment of guests including highly notable VIPs who will be coming from Port Harcourt and other parts of the country.
Umuaka Times gathered that the rites of passage for the late matriarch of the Izunwa family will begin on Thursday 17 November 2022 at the Izunwa family compound in Uba Umuaka where Christians, well wishers and many community based groups will observe a Christian wakes night in honour of the deceased.
Mrs Grace Ndawi Amara Izunwa passed on, on 1st October 2022. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and many relations.
