The Anyadike 1 of Umuaka, Chief Goddy Ikeme has described his late father in-law, the late Sir Christopher Amanze Onyenanu as an iconic man of the people who has helped to build several individuals with his selfless approach to life.

Chief Ikeme who is a high profile engineer based in the United States stated this while answering questions during the burial of Sir Onyenanu from Umuaka Times last week.

According to Chief Ikeme, the life Sir Onyenanu lived which spanned for 102 years was rich and rewarding to many who had close contact with him. “He was a great man, a philanthropist and someone who was always upright and honest in all his dealings with people”.

From what Umuaka Times gathered, Sir Onyenanu died peacefully from his sleep on September 1st after his prayers with the priest. “He never suffered any health crisis before his death came. He was always strong and close to his God. That was why God called him from his sleep in the manner he did appropriate.”

Chief Goddy Ikeme who is married to the first daughter of the late sage, hails from Uba Umuaka.
