Iheme, the Udu Akommiri 1 of Umuaka, Chief Emma Iheme, the Akuchinyere 1has disclosed the plan of the family to immortalize their late mum, late Mrs. Lolo Nneoma Anastasia Iheme who died last year. Speaking with an Umuaka Times correspondent in UK, Chief Emma Iheme confirmed that the reason for the family to honour their mother was to continue to demonstrate the legacy of giving and selfless service to the people, their mother, late Mrs Lolo Nneoma Anastasia Iheme made a better part of her while alive.
Umuaka Times gathered that the immortalization of the matriarch of the family will come in form of a foundation which may be named Lolo Nneoma Iheme Foundation for the Poor. The reason for the establishment of the foundation according to the family sources that spoke with Umuaka Times was to continue to demonstrate the legacy of love and care the late amazing woman Lolo Nneoma Iheme demostrated while she was alive.
The foundation will from time to time, possibly each year, assist the economically disadvantaged families in Umuaka and beyond. It will also assist young girls in finding their path to life via empowerment and intervention programs.
Many people who spoke with Umuaka Times during the burial ceremony of the late Mrs Iheme, confirmed that she was indeed an exceptional woman who showed love and care to the less-privileged. A part of the immortalization process Umuaka Times can confirm, has already begun as the family will on the 30th December 2020 hold a one year remembrance church service at St Joseph’s Catholic Church Isiozi Autonomous Community. Take off time is 9am. Entertainment of guests will follow immediately after the church service at Uduakommiri’s family compound in Obazi Isiozi Community.
