Engr Vitus Duru loses wife. Burial date fixed.

The Amakor Autonomous Community in Njaba LGA Imo State has been thrown into deep mourning as one of the prominent sons and philanthropists in the community Vitus Duru Ugomba has announced the sudden death of his wife, Associate Professor, Veronica Ngozi Duru.
The burial arrangement released by the family explains that on Thursday December 30, there will be a requiem Mass at St Michael’s Catholic Church for the repose of her soul. Interment follows immediately at Engineer Vitus Duru’s compound in Amakor community.
Umuaka Times gathered that during the lifetime of the late Associate Professor, she was very supportive to the husband and encouraged him to assist the community in several ways. The couple donated 2 big transformers and cables to help the Amakor community during its electrification project. They have also done a lot to better the lives of many individuals in the community.
Umuaka Times gathered that the deceased, the late Associate Professor Veronica Ngozi Duru was with the Department of Education Imo State University IMSU Owerri. The death of the Associate Professor Vero Duru has been described as a big blow not only to the Duru family but to the entire Amakor community and IMSU community as well.
