Pastor George Izunwa’s free medical mission bounces back.

The free medical mission to Umuaka solely organized and sponsored by the George Izunwa Foundation has been billed to commence its 2023 edition in Umuaka community in November 2023.
For those who may not know, Pastor George Izunwa, the Lead Pastor of Gateway International Church Port Harcourt, Rivers State, suspended the free medical mission in Umuaka in the last 2 years due to the escalating insecurity in Imo State. When Umuaka Times spoke with the top officials of the foundation last week in Port Harcourt, it was disclosed that the 2023 edition will be as good as the previous missions where about 6,000 persons have so far received different types of free treatments including surgeries over the years.
Umuaka Times was reliably informed that no specific dates have been chosen for the program but the foundation has concluded plans to make sure that the 3-day program holds in the last week of November 2023. The foundation also briefed Umuaka Times on those who would like to volunteer their services and appealed to them to reach out to the foundation through Umuaka Times for proper engagements and roles.
For now, the preparations for the successful hosting of the three day medical mission are already on top gear as the organizing committee is already meeting to fine-tune the program. Some Umuaka people who spoke with the newspaper demonstrated their joy over the decision of the George Izunwa Foundation to return the program in Umuaka after a two year break.
